Infographic based on research by The University of Western Australia and Telethon Kids Institute involving 1,646 parents of children aged 2 to 5.
The study found that children living with dogs were less likely to show behavioral difficulties and more likely to display prosocial behaviors such as sharing and cooperation. Regular walks and active play with the family dog were also associated with stronger social and emotional benefits.
